The question is not what you look at, but what you see.

Mammals of California
California is home to some of the world's most iconic topography, but pay attention and you’ll notice it brimming with wildlife. Exploring their fragile relationship gives me a deeper connection with the place I live.
Public Lands

Join me in the field as I share the stories and process behind some of my favorite wildlife encounters.

The Collection
Our wilderness represents an extreme duality in perceptions. There’s tension in the very idea of public lands, but in this always-connected age there’s a deepening emotional divide in how humans experience nature. For some, these are beautiful, ecologically important spaces; to others, they are forbidding, desolate expanses. This print is part of the Extreme Duality collection, a series of black and white Californian landscapes exploring that balance.
